I’m Danita, a North Dakota mom, boutique owner, and the heart behind this space. I created Fashion Fam & Faves to share the things that truly make my life easier and more meaningful — from freezer meals and family routines to everyday style, favorite finds, and faith-filled motherhood.
A Little About Me
I grew up in a small town called Napoleon, North Dakota, and I’ll always have a soft spot for small-town life. I’ve always loved fashion, sports, and being busy — I was a heels-to-school kind of girl who also loved track and volleyball. My favorite event was high jump, and I was blessed to place at both indoor and outdoor state competitions.
After high school, I attended Bismarck State College and later transferred to North Dakota State University, where I earned my degree in Apparel & Textiles Retail Merchandising with a minor in Business Management. During college, I worked my way up at Old Navy, eventually becoming an Assistant Store Manager — retail has truly always been part of my story.
Boutique Life
Boutique life has been a huge part of my journey. My aunt, Denette, opened Boutique 23 in 2015 as a tribute to her son, Jared, who bravely fought cancer for several years before passing away in 2009. His football jersey number, 23, was retired in his honor, and the boutique was created both as a way to heal a hurting heart and to build something meaningful.
In 2017, I was given the opportunity to help run Boutique 23 when a second location opened in Bismarck. What started as a job quickly became a calling. Over the years, I poured my heart into the store — styling women, building relationships, and helping create a space where women could feel confident and seen.
In 2024, I officially took over ownership of Boutique 23 — a full-circle moment I’ll forever be grateful for and one I don’t take lightly.
Motherhood & Faith
I’m married to my husband Brandon, and together we have two incredible children — Evelyn Otillia and Beckett James. Motherhood has been my greatest blessing and my greatest teacher.
Between my children, we experienced two miscarriages — a season that brought anxiety, heartbreak, and deep growth. Through it all, my faith carried me. I truly believe God chose me for this life, for these children, and for this season — even when it felt hard or uncertain.
Now, life is beautifully full, busy, and imperfect — and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Why Fashion Fam & Faves Exists
In May 2025, I started sharing 20 freezer meals prepped in one weekend simply because I needed an easier way to get dinner on the table while juggling motherhood, business, and life. I never expected it to take off — but it did.
